GETTING STARTED
Starting esports at school involves more than simply putting a few computers in a room. Games, equipment, leadership and group structure all need to work together.
We provide the esports expertise your school needs and adapt the programme to your goals, students and practical circumstances.
DIFFERENT NEEDS
Esports can form part of a school profile, elective provision or other organised school time.
An introductory esports day can be a simple way for students to experience esports or make gaming part of a broader themed activity.
Gaming is already a strong interest for many young people and can become an activity that feels relevant and easy to engage with.
A recurring activity can provide clear times, shared activities and something to take part in together with others.
MOTIVATION & PARTICIPATION
For some students, gaming is a particularly strong interest. In the right setting, that interest can be used to create contact, provide a recurring activity and offer another reason to take part in something connected to school.
Esports is not a solution to school absence in itself, and every student is different. But it can be one of several tools when a school is looking for new ways to engage a student.
EXAMPLE PROGRAMMES
Different schools need different solutions. Here are a few examples of how a collaboration can begin.
A standalone session where students can try esports and different games together with a coach.
A programme running over several weeks, giving the group more time to work on gaming, teamwork and development.
Recurring esports sessions throughout a term or a full academic year.
A smaller recurring setting that can be shaped around a particular group of students and the school's goals.
LOCATION
We can come to your school and adapt the programme to your premises and technical setup.

If your school already has computers and networking in place, we can work with what you have. If additional equipment is needed, we can help find a practical solution for the programme.
Gaming PCs at the right level for the games, group size and goals of the school.
Practical requirements for internet access, stability, accounts and day-to-day operation.
Monitors, headsets, keyboards, mice and other equipment needed for the sessions.
We can help with purchasing and, where appropriate, leasing arrangements for equipment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The school is responsible for the educational goals, the student group and the overall framework of the activity. We provide esports expertise, coaching and practical delivery.
The programme is developed together with the school so that it fits its purpose and the needs of the students. If esports forms part of assessed teaching, the school must have a qualified teacher responsible for the teaching and assessment.
THE SCHOOL'S ROLE
We can take considerable responsibility for the practical delivery, but a good programme always depends on clear expectations and collaboration.
One person at the school who coordinates the programme and acts as our main point of contact.
What is the activity intended to achieve – teaching, an introduction to esports, engagement or something else?
What times, premises and technology are available? We work out the rest together.
If esports forms part of assessed teaching, the school must have a qualified teacher responsible for assessment and grading.
EXPERIENCE
We have experience of recurring esports activities at upper secondary level through our work with Gustavsbergs Gymnasium.
There, esports is a recurring part of the school's activities, with a focus on gaming, training, teamwork and development.
